1 Overview

Sagasoft Technologies Private Limited (“Saga”, “we”, “us”) maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against spam.

This Anti-Spam Policy (“Policy”) defines what constitutes spam, outlines acceptable email practices, and explains enforcement measures to protect our infrastructure and users.

2 What is Spam?

Spam refers to unsolicited, bulk, or irrelevant email messages sent without the recipient’s consent.

Spam includes (but is not limited to):

  • Unsolicited bulk emails (UBE)
  • Unsolicited commercial emails (UCE)
  • Emails sent without prior opt-in consent
  • Messages sent using purchased, rented, or scraped email lists

3 Consent Requirements

You must obtain explicit and verifiable consent from recipients before sending emails.

Acceptable Consent Methods
  • Double opt-in (recommended)
  • Clear signup forms with consent language
Not Allowed
  • Pre-checked consent boxes
  • Implied or assumed consent
  • Third-party purchased lists

4 Sender Identification Requirements

All emails must include:

  • Accurate sender name and email address
  • Valid domain ownership
  • Clear identification of the sender organization
Prohibition

Spoofing or misleading headers is strictly prohibited.

5 Unsubscribe Requirements

All bulk or marketing emails must include:

  • A clear and visible unsubscribe mechanism
  • Functional opt-out links
  • Prompt processing of unsubscribe requests (within reasonable time)

6 Content Requirements

You must NOT send emails that:
  • Contain misleading or deceptive subject lines
  • Promote illegal activities
  • Include fraudulent financial or investment schemes
  • Contain malware or harmful links

7 Sending Practices

You must:

  • Maintain clean and updated mailing lists
  • Remove inactive or bounced addresses
  • Avoid excessive sending frequency
  • Monitor complaint and bounce rates

Saga may enforce sending limits based on usage patterns.

8 Forward-only Email Restrictions

For Forward-only Email services:

  • Must not be used as a relay for spam or bulk messaging
  • Must not create forwarding loops
  • Must comply with all anti-spam requirements

9 Monitoring & Detection

Saga uses automated and manual systems to detect spam, including:

  • Traffic pattern analysis
  • Spam complaint monitoring
  • Blacklist tracking
  • Content filtering (where applicable)

10 Complaints & Reporting

Spam complaints can be reported to:

Include:
  • Full email headers
  • Description of the issue

11 Enforcement Actions

If spam activity is detected, Saga may:

Issue warnings
Temporarily suspend email sending
Block domains or accounts
Permanently terminate services
Report violations to authorities
Severe Violations: Severe violations may result in immediate suspension without notice.

12 Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance with this Policy
  • Monitoring email activity within your organization
  • Securing accounts to prevent unauthorized use

13 Compliance with Laws

You must comply with all applicable anti-spam laws and regulations, including:

  • Indian IT Act, 2000
  • International anti-spam frameworks (as applicable)

14 Liability

Saga is not responsible for:

  • Deliverability issues caused by spam violations
  • Blacklisting resulting from user activity
  • Damages arising from non-compliance

15 Policy Updates

Saga may update this Policy at any time. Continued use of services indicates acceptance of updated terms.
